My Name is Kevin, I offer unique opportunities for people from all walks of life and experience levels to engage with the joy of outdoor adventure.   • Why don't you show the Exact location of a class?
    Keeping Foraging Spots Secret: Kevin knows some great foraging spots. He keeps these places a secret to protect them. The reason? Not everyone forages responsibly. If these spots get too popular, people might over-forage and harm the ecosystem. we give the general location of the area and the exact meet up location will be disclosed via the confirmation email you receive Sustainable Foraging: We're really against harming nature. In fact, Kevin teaches how to forage in a way that leaves the area even better than before. Booking a Class: When you sign up for a class, say in Fort Bragg, or somewhere else, you won't get the exact meet up location until Kevin sends you an email with the "meet up spot"

Not for the wild at heart! Stick around for an optional three-hour foraging expedition. It's your chance to apply what you've learned and scout for some wild treasures alongside fellow fungi enthusiasts and your trusty guide (that's me!). Weather & Time Permitting: Gourmet Wild Mushroom Treat If Mother Nature and the mushroom gods are smiling upon us, the adventure will climax with a live cooking demo in the woods. Savor a gourmet wild mushroom appetizer prepared from our foraging finds. It's the perfect end to a perfect day of mushroom madness. Note: Come rain or shine, this mushroom escapade is happening! Mushrooms thrive in the rain, and so will we. Don your best rain gear and embrace the elements as we embark on this journey together. On a mushroom Identification with Kevin, customers can expect the following enriching experience: Expert Guidance: Led by Dr. Kevin, participants receive expert insights into mushroom foraging.     For a mushroom hunt with Kevin, participants should consider bringing the following items: Basket : To gently carry collected mushrooms without damaging them. Knife: A small knife for cleanly cutting mushrooms from their stems. Brush: A soft brush to clean dirt off the mushrooms in the field. Field Guide: A mushroom identification guidebook can be very helpful for reference. kevin likes All That the Rain Promises and More by David Arora Notebook and Pen: For taking notes on the different types of mushrooms and their habitats. Comfortable Footwear: Durable, waterproof boots or hiking shoes suitable for uneven terrain. Appropriate Clothing: Dress in layers and consider long sleeves and pants to protect against brush and insects. Water and Snacks: Stay hydrated and energized during the hunt. Weather-Appropriate Gear: Rain gear, hats, and sunscreen, depending on the weather forecast. Camera or Smartphone: For documenting your finds and the beautiful scenery.     Safety is our top priority. We provide expert guidance on distinguishing between edible and poisonous mushrooms. Participants are advised to only forage mushrooms identified as safe by kevin.

    Embarking on a guided free dive with Kevin is an exhilarating experience, and being well-prepared enhances both safety and enjoyment. Here's what we recommend you bring for the adventure: Personal Diving Gear: Your own mask, fins, and snorkel are essential for a comfortable and personalized fit. Wetsuit: If you have one, a wetsuit is crucial for thermal protection, especially in cooler waters. Weight Belt: A key piece of equipment for achieving and maintaining neutral buoyancy, enhancing your diving experience. Dive Knife: Useful for safety and practical purposes under the water. Dive Flag: An important safety tool to signal your location to nearby boats and divers.
