COASTAL FORAGING & POKE POLING
Explore California’s rocky reefs and tidepools and learn to safely forage for fish, shellfish, and even seaweed! This class covers species ID, sustainable harvest techniques, poke poling, and often includes a seaside shellfish boil.
GUIDED FREEDIVE-SPEARFISHING
Learn the art of freedive spearfishing along the California coast with expert guidance and a focus on safety, technique, and ocean awareness. Courses are offered at four levels:

SHORE FISHING
Take your shore fishing to the next level and learn to sustainably harvest wild fish on the rocky reefs or sandy shores of the California coast. Guided shore fishing offers the perfect blend of instruction and hands-on experience to help you develop your skills as an autonomous angler!
CRAB SNARING
Discover the thrill of catching your own coastal feast with our hands-on crab snaring class. Learn where and how to cast snares, read the tides, and safely harvest and process Dungeness crabs for the table.
WILD MUSHROOM IDENTIFICATION
Join us for a hands-on mushroom identification class where you'll learn to safely recognize common wild mushrooms of Northern California. Perfect for beginners, this class covers key features, habitats, and ethical foraging tips as well as how to distinguish common edible species from their toxic lookalikes to boost your confidence in the field.
BUSHCRAFT SURVIVAL
Learn essential wilderness skills in our hands-on bushcraft class, including fire building, shelter making, basic tracking, plant identification, foraging, stone tool making, and more. Gain practical techniques to stay safe, prepared, and resourceful in backcountry environments.
