About the event

This kid-oriented event is dedicated to getting our young ones interested in the outdoors through cultivating wild plant knowledge and familiarity with the forest. Though it is for kids, adults will certainly learn quite a bit as well! Childeren must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. This outing consists of slow-paced hiking through our local forests while we discuss and learn about all kinds of trees, shrubs and plants that thrive here especially during the spring season! The hike will include discussions of local plant uses for food, materials and medicine. We may even stop to forage a few wild plants along the way for later use! The precise location details will be shared upon registration.
